Easy Wanton Noodle

As I am a Malaysian and therefore, has a rather complex (taste) pallet, I always crave for something I can never get here, in Europe.

Oh btw, we just moved from Dublin to London πŸ€—πŸΎπŸΊ πŸ˜‚ I feel like the alcohol emoticons are very appropriate after several heartacheπŸ’” moments in the process of moving.

Sigh.

Putting all that behind us, today I am going to show you what I did to whip out an easy wanton noodle (dry version) without the longgg ingredient lists!

Happy much? 😁 Me too! So let’s get cracking! Yassss!! πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³

Clearly you gotta need the wanton noodles πŸ™„ and one roll is for one serving. I bought this from the local oriental shop and you just need to cook it according to instructions on the package. Mine was to blanch the noodle in boiling water for 30seconds. Easy! πŸ’…πŸΌ

Next, you need to chop up all these ingredients in small cubes. They are shallots, char siu (I’m using chinese sausage instead) and fish cake (optional). If you don’t have any magic kitchen appliances (like this Zyliss Food Chopper)to cut all your ingredients, fret not! Please use your husband instead because that’s what I used! 🀣

Recap:

2-4 rolls of wanton noodles

4 shallots sliced thinly

Char siu pork

Fish cake (optional)

Sauteed the shallots, char siu pork and fish cake in 3 tbs of cooking oil until the shallots turned golden. Not burntπŸ™Š and put this aside.

On your plate, place all of these ingredients:

1 tbs of osyster sauce

1 tbs of dark soy sauce

1 tbs of light soy sauce

1 tbs of chilli sos

1 tbs of tomato sauce (optional)

1 tbs of siracha (if you like it spicy πŸ˜‰)

Half of vegetable stock (powder)

Put in your blanched wanton noodles andΒ mixed all with your sauteed ingredients you put aside! And of course, garnish with chives or coriander to make it look pretty!! πŸ˜†

Walla!! Give it a try and let me know what you think! Nice o not?? πŸ˜‹

See ya in the next one! πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³
